A former steamfitter and a former high school English teacher, called by God to become pastors, fall in love, get married, take calls in rural PA, become staff to a Siamese cat, and ultimately decide to find relaxation by exploring the RV lifestyle… even tho’ neither one of them has done it before.  Follow along as these two pastoral madcaps enter, by way of travel trailer, the wacky world of RVing.

Our travel trailer is a 2002 23′ Sunline Solaris which we purchased from its original owner in August 2012.  The Sunline Company of Denver, PA, was known for their quality construction; the company was sold in 2006 and closed production in 2007.  Our tow vehicle – Big Gray – is a 2012 Ford F-150 with both tow and off-road packages.  We use a Reese hitch with dual cam sway control to haul the Sunny.  We’ve been as pleased with this combination as we are with camping.

In Fall of 2016, we bought a Jayco Jay Series 1007 pop-up camper for the express purpose of traveling in the Four Corners region on the Southwest with Mom in May 2017.  We chose a pop-up for its space & towability, and because we didn’t want to beat up the Sunline on some of the roads we knew we would be taking.  Our trip, which was great, is recorded on this blog site.  While we had fun camping in the Jayco, it could never replace the Sunline so we sold the 1007 in June 2017 to a nice family and hope they enjoy camping in it as much as we did.
